Dubai is a famous city to visit for thrill seekers, avid shoppers, and travel enthusiasts. There is no second thought about the fact that Dubai has become one of the world’s most visited luxury holiday destinations, for the array of choices it offers. We bet you would never feel bored in this gulf metropolis, as there is so much to do and numerous unique destinations to explore.
The region is blessed by the sun all through the year which makes it such a pleasurable summer vacation hot spot for those residing in the west. There are countless fun places to be at and activities to do around the city thereby leaving you in a serious dilemma! Allow us to take you on an adventure so that you can curate a list of ‘things to do’ before planning your next trip to Dubai.
Coffee Museum – Al Fahidi heritage hub
The coffee museum is a paradise for not just caffeine lovers, but all those who wish to witness Arab hospitality. This quirky coffee hub takes you on a journey to uncover secrets about the advent of coffee and its journey across the world. Before beginning the delightful sojourn, visitors get to sample a warm cup of Java coffee and some popcorn to go with it. The coffee museum will enlighten you on the different techniques of coffee roasting, showcase the importance of coffee in different cultures, and give you a glimpse of the varied apparatuses that are used to brew a fine cup of delectable coffee.
iFly Dubai – City Centre Mirdif Mall
This place will literally blow your mind away! Head to iFly to experience what it’s like to skydive. You will be floating around in a 10m long vertical glass wind tunnel, in the midst of a busy mall. iFly is one of the first centers to open in this region. Flyers will have to wear a wind suit and eye protection gear before they are pushed into the tunnel. Luckily, an instructor is always at arm’s length to make sure your landing is smoother than the sudden take-off push.
Deep Dive Dubai - Nad Al Sheba Neighbourhood
What’s life like under the sea? At Deep Dive Dubai you are welcome to dive right in and discover an underwater city. Acclaimed to be the world’s deepest pool at 60m, it has won the Guinness Record title and is a paradise for certified divers, as well as newbies who have no prior diving experience. The pool has a capacity to store 14 million liters of water which is equivalent to six Olympic-sized swimming pools. The dive is carefully monitored by 56 CCTV cameras and every diver will be accompanied by a professional. What’s more? Your family can see you swim underwater from the LED screen in the restaurant.
Shark Diving - Dubai Mall
Come in close proximity to the world’s most dangerous predators ‘sharks’ at the Dubai Aquarium and Under Water Zoo. The dive will promise an encounter with numerous species of sharks including; Sand Tiger Shark, Reef Shark, and Leopard Shark, alongside Giant Groupers & Stingrays. If meeting Sharks is not such a pleasant experience for you, just walk around the aquarium and discover over 140 species of aquatic animals across the 10 million-liter tank.
Water Taxi
Water taxi travel is a popular mode of transportation in Dubai and if you haven’t taken a drive already, book one now! Enjoy the sunrise and sunsets on your way to another neighborhood around the city. On any given day, Dubai waterways are pretty populated with ferry and traditional wooden Abra boats, carrying passengers up & down around famous destinations of Dubai. The taxi can accommodate as many as 10 passengers who can remain entertained through the journey by watching a show on the LCD TV screens.
Dubai Museum - Al Fahidi Fort
Ever wondered how Dubai was in olden times before the precious ‘oil’ was discovered? Head to the Dubai Museum and take a walk down the memory lane to discover life-size dioramas that tell the story of ‘back then’ times. The museum displays age-old dhows (boats) used for pearling (fishing for oysters), Al Kalmah Houses (primitive homes) made from palm trees, and a replica of a passé spice shop. Besides this, one can admire the exhibits of primitive knives and Arabic handicrafts. Every step you take at the museum is like a story unfolding before your eyes.
Without a doubt, Dubai will give you ‘the’ most insanely beautiful experience that you will cherish throughout your lives. The above listed are just a few attractions, and it’s impossible to continue writing about the others in just one Blog. So, get packing & come to Dubai.
